1. First Day At Falner
You have just arrived at Falner Estate, a sprawling, beautiful, 400-hectare co-located space between Britain, Germany, and the Philippines, and the main base of Netsach. The flora and fauna in the area gives both a sense of familiarity as it looks at first glance like things you’ll find on Earth, and a weird sense of otherworldliness. Given the size of the place, the Estate is less of a compound and more like a town unto itself. The older buildings within the estate are gothic in their construction, and clear throwbacks to 19th Century Europe. The newer facilities, however, sport cutting edge contemporary designs that were clearly inspired by Fourth World architecture and technology.
If you want a better idea on what can be found on the estate, you can refer to this link.
2. A Day On The Job
You are pushing papers at Methuselah, doing research at the Arcanum, or going out on patrol -- whatever it is that you're doing, it's just another day for you as a Hunter of the Vigil.
3. Let's Head Down to Haven
Find yourself itching for a night out on the town? Why not head over to Haven, the classy nightclub that looks like a large, monolithic black building with no visible windows from the outside and the name of the club emblazoned in bold, white letters on one side.
Haven is located in Makati City, and is open to the public (especially the local supernatural community), but you might want to prepare yourself to wait in line for a very, very long time – unless you’re a Hunter, of course.
Falner’s Maenad Division holds office on top of Haven, as does Ordo Daywalker. Some of Haven’s staff also live above the night club.
4. The Awakening
Want to tag out your character's origin story? Set the stage and let's see where things go.
5. Choose Your Own Adventure
If none of the suggested premises hit the mark, feel free to set things up and let's do a tag round.
Instructions for the Testdrive:
1. Specify your chosen scenario number on the subject line.
2. Should you wish to tag with a specific character already established within Waking the Dead, indicate who. The current list of available NPCs can be found over here.

[ Smiling. ]
Are you one of the teachers here, or...?
[ Because if you were one of the students, you'd be in there, or so he figures. ]
no subject
My father runs the dojo. [ She yanks the string up with a jerk of her wrist, and the cat leaps and falls unsuccessful. The string is in her hands, which she folds on her lap. The cat is looking up expectantly at her. No time to play now, cat. There's a visitor. ] Is there anything I can help you with?
no subject
[ Bowing, Because Custom. ]
My name is Luke Pierce. I'm one of the new transfers to Gisi, down in Falner Forest.
no subject
...Although she probably shouldn't be too surprised. He'd mentioned he transfered to Gisi, which means he's Zangyaku.
She bows (or, really, just nods from her seat) as well. ]
Chizuru Takeda. [ Western order, just because. ] How may I help you, Luke Pierce?
no subject
[ Excluding, of course, the halls in Gisi. ]
Have you guys been around for a while?
no subject
Yes. My family has been running this dojo since my grandparents moved here in... [ She puts a finger to her chin in thought. ] Ah, 2012. My father is currently the head of the dojo.
no subject
Oh, right. That bit of history, he remembers. ]
Wow, so that would explain why you guys seem to have settled down here pretty nicely. Do you just cater to civvies?

[ Asking even as his eyes are drifting back to the flurry of activity inside. ]
no subject
[ A beat. ]
But if Father thinks you are worthy enough, then he may teach you Daitoryu Aikijujutsu.
no subject
...Huh.
[ Shame, though. The one person who really would have flipped about this discovery is --
Full stop, Luke. Full stop. ]
I'm almost tempted to try, even if my specialty's polearms.
no subject
[ She shrugs. ]
Knowing how to fight and defend yourself without a weapon is a good skill to have, as a Keeper of the Vigil.
no subject
[ Stretching, knocking a crick out of his neck --
Ah.
Much better. ]
I think my superiors want me to focus on finding a new blade first, and I also want to settle in Rhiannon if they let me get a license with them.
no subject
Card, or Sin-eater? [ Because it's only one or the other, when you're trying to get into Rhiannon. ]
no subject
[ Focus, Luke. Smile. ]
Card.

I'm not sure if it's proper to congratulate you on your Second Breath, considering your circumstances, but... If you need someone to talk to, you can come find me here.
Maybe you could even join a class or two?
no subject
Thanks. Might just take you up on that, although I'm managing pretty well for now. For the classes, though...
[ Hmm! ]
Yeah, I'll think about it.
no subject
I hope to see you around, then, Lucas Pierce.
no subject
[ Inquiring minds need to know, yo. ]
no subject
[ She hasn't planned to, actually. ]
But I can show you how to do the basic forms.
no subject
[ Might as well. Learning is learning. ]
no subject
[ She smiles again. There's a silence that follows it, and she's a little unsure of what to say now... ]
W-well! I don't want to keep you here if you're busy... You can stay and watch, of course. If you'd like.
no subject
HELL YES.
What he actually means is: ]
All right! I promise I won't get in anyone's way.
no subject
[ .................
ouo;;;;;;;;;;
Okay, Chizuru. You've... convinced him to watch training, now what??? ]
no subject
-- and look a little puzzled for a bit. Um. ]
So... I guess we're going in...?
