1. First Day At Falner
You have just arrived at Falner Estate, a sprawling, beautiful, 400-hectare co-located space between Britain, Germany, and the Philippines, and the main base of Netsach. The flora and fauna in the area gives both a sense of familiarity as it looks at first glance like things you’ll find on Earth, and a weird sense of otherworldliness. Given the size of the place, the Estate is less of a compound and more like a town unto itself. The older buildings within the estate are gothic in their construction, and clear throwbacks to 19th Century Europe. The newer facilities, however, sport cutting edge contemporary designs that were clearly inspired by Fourth World architecture and technology.

2. A Day On The Job
You are pushing papers at Methuselah, doing research at the Arcanum, or going out on patrol -- whatever it is that you're doing, it's just another day for you as a Hunter of the Vigil.


3. Let's Head Down to Haven
Find yourself itching for a night out on the town? Why not head over to Haven, the classy nightclub that looks like a large, monolithic black building with no visible windows from the outside and the name of the club emblazoned in bold, white letters on one side.

Haven is located in Makati City, and is open to the public (especially the local supernatural community), but you might want to prepare yourself to wait in line for a very, very long time – unless you’re a Hunter, of course.

Falner’s Maenad Division holds office on top of Haven, as does Ordo Daywalker. Some of Haven’s staff also live above the night club.


4. The Awakening

[ She motions for him to sit down, or kneel on the floor. There are cushions, if he needs it; Chizuru is used to kneeling on the tatami so she doesn't take one. ]

[ No bullshit from this one. He doesn't give compliments easily when it comes to fighty-fighty things.

I'm... I was. I- I mean, I'm taking a break right now. I only help around when needed.

[ She ducks her head again, smiling. ]

[ Of course that's going to pique his curiosity enough to watch your dad for a bit. ]

And I'm guessing he's never considered joining the Vigil?

[ Since he's got a dojo and everything. ]

[ She shakes her head. ]

No, he is content with being an ally as Grandfather was.

[ And then, a small smile. ] But he did marry a Keeper of the Vigil.

[ Chuckling at that. ]

Well, that pretty much makes him one of us.

[ He sounds happy. It's nice, in his opinion, to have more people on the "right" side. ]

...I suppose it does.

[ She looks back to watch her father teach the more senior students, correcting forms and pointing out flaws in their movements. When he catches her eye, she smiles and nods at him. It makes him look a little puzzled, but he smiles in return, then continues on with his lessons.

And now back to her original dilemma: Now what?? Maybe she should be a little more hospitable? Yeah, let's try that. ]

Um... would you like something to drink, maybe? Water? Tea? Coffee?

[huamo]

I'll have whatever you're having.

[ A beat. ]

But if you guys have barley tea, then I'm definitely taking that.

[ Saying that with a grin. He loves the stuff, and he will always, always blame Yuuki for that.

Rest in peace, love. ]

[ She pauses from standing up as she runs the tea inventory in her head. She's pretty sure Mother brought home some barley tea a week ago. ]

Barley tea it is, then. Would you like it cold, or hot?

[ Considering the month, and how the sun was high up, cold mugicha would be nice, but she didn't really know his preferences... ]

Cold, please.

[ Man this is so cool. He loves it when random wandering gets him Nice Things. =w= ]

[ She'll come back a few minutes later with a tray of cookies to go with your glass of cold barley tea. She'd even brought a small pitcher, in case you wanted refills. She sets this down between the two of you, so it's close enough for you to reach, and it's not a hassle for either of you to converse. She's kind of the host, and you're the guest, so she has to be critical about these things, okay? (She also hopes you are enjoying your stay uvu) ]
