1. First Day At Falner
You have just arrived at Falner Estate, a sprawling, beautiful, 400-hectare co-located space between Britain, Germany, and the Philippines, and the main base of Netsach. The flora and fauna in the area gives both a sense of familiarity as it looks at first glance like things you’ll find on Earth, and a weird sense of otherworldliness. Given the size of the place, the Estate is less of a compound and more like a town unto itself. The older buildings within the estate are gothic in their construction, and clear throwbacks to 19th Century Europe. The newer facilities, however, sport cutting edge contemporary designs that were clearly inspired by Fourth World architecture and technology.

2. A Day On The Job
You are pushing papers at Methuselah, doing research at the Arcanum, or going out on patrol -- whatever it is that you're doing, it's just another day for you as a Hunter of the Vigil.


3. Let's Head Down to Haven
Find yourself itching for a night out on the town? Why not head over to Haven, the classy nightclub that looks like a large, monolithic black building with no visible windows from the outside and the name of the club emblazoned in bold, white letters on one side.

Haven is located in Makati City, and is open to the public (especially the local supernatural community), but you might want to prepare yourself to wait in line for a very, very long time – unless you’re a Hunter, of course.

Falner’s Maenad Division holds office on top of Haven, as does Ordo Daywalker. Some of Haven’s staff also live above the night club.

Max checks the files, although there's no real interest in her doing so. As long as it looks in order she couldn't care less. ]

Segan Brooke, Technomancer. [ She's committing that name to memory. ]

Are you busy right now?

[interceptive]

[ Making a mental check of her schedule, because Segan be Organized like that. ]

Not for the next fifteen minutes, give or take. [ A shrug. Yeah, she was specific back there because she's the dork who schedules her day in fifteen minute increments. ] Why?

[flusse]

[ Max stands up and hands her over a little under half of the files. ]

I already dropped this shit once. Plus, I have no idea of where these go. The archive should be somewhere in this floor, but this mansion is ridiculous.

[ Plus maybe she enjoys her company. Or doesn't hate it. It's something. ]

[interceptive]

[ Chuckling. ]

Yeah, it's three times bigger than the city hall down in my town. [ Turning away with a cant of her head. ] I'll show you where the Arcanum is.

[ That, she's willing to help with. ]

[flusse]

Where're you from?

[ Considering everyone speaks English, that doesn't tell her anything. ]

[ "No One Cares-ville", was what some of her lovely former classmates used to call it.

Things will probably be different now. ]

[flusse]

[ Loading, please wait. ]

Canada?

[interceptive]

Yeah, my lovely home and native land.

[ She just attempted to be funny again, even if probably no one will get it.

She is kind of really strange. ]

[ Against all odds, Max gets it though. And she chuckles. It's short, a bit dry and unexpected, but a chuckle it's a chuckle. ]

Home sweet home, huh? Left many people behind?

[interceptive]

An entire town. Redtree's kind of small, so everyone knows everyone, and we generally all get along.

[ And she speaks of her town with a lot of fondness. ]

[flusse]

Sounds like fun. You'll probably have stuff to write home soon.

[ She might sound a little distant, as memories of her own town (towns, actually) take her by surprise. ]

[interceptive]

[ Not... really noticing that. Social skills? Definitely not her strongest suit, ayup. Still, she is curious. ]

What about you? Where are you from?

[flusse]

I was born on a tiny seaside village on Ireland, but I've spent most of my life moving through little towns in Germany.

[ That makes a lot of sense, she knows. ]

The last time I had any legal form of identification, I was Irish though.

[interceptive]

Well, what about now?

[ Although Segan is pretty sure that Netsach has made arrangements and tried to keep things legal... right? ]

[flusse]

Still Irish, I guess?

[ They gave her an ID.

She didn't check it. ]

Haven't been there for over ten years though. I don't even have an accent.

[ She sounds like a German speaking English really well, actually. ]

[interceptive]

Oh, I see.

[ Hmm! ]

I've never been anywhere outside of Canada before. Have you done a lot of traveling?

[flusse]

[ Hmm! Indeed. ]

A bit? I usually couldn't stay for too long in new places anyway, and tourism has never been my thing.

Canada is pretty big, though?

[interceptive]

Yeah, it's huge.

[ With a matching look of "uh-huh". ]

I haven't even been able to travel much in my own country.

[flusse]

Lack of time? Money? Is it really just a big chunk of ice?

[ Better ask frankly, that's Max's policy. ]

[ Laughing at that. ]

All three, although on that third item? Only half of Canada's a big chunk of ice. The rest, I heard, is pretty if you're a naturey sort of person.

That's a lot of ice though.

[ Like a lot. ]

All my knowledge of Canada is ridiculously stereotypical.

[interceptive]

Well, stereotypes tend to be the only place to start at with anything, right?

[ It only becomes a problem when the open-mindedness doesn't kick in. ]
