Formed under the guidance of the Blade King of Zangyaku, the men and women of the past and at present who have called themselves “War Hounds” have worked tirelessly towards reforming the Vigil. Their main goal has always been to pave the way towards a New Age, because the Veil’s going to go eventually. While their operations take their Hunters all over the world, their “home” is the Philippines, a country whose importance in geo-politics has always been underestimated – but its significance in the World of Darkness cannot be ignored.
The tragedy of the War Hounds is that - beyond Brianna herself - not a single member of the "original" blade has survived, and each "batch" loses at least two or three of its operatives. There have been members who have stayed on for a few cycles, but the natural end to pursuing their vision appears to be madness or death. Constantly living through this has made Brianna wonder, with increasing frequency, if she needs to change her game. This shift in disposition is most visible in the Hounds of tonight's Vigil.
BRIANNA LOPEZ Alias: Sister Spider

Brianna is the so-called Sister Spider of the Philippines, and a Changeling so old that her existence predates the Courts of Harvest on the Archipelago. It is said that she was saved from her durance by the Blade King himself, and trained by the best Whisperers of Zangyaku before she left Hikaru Shinta’s care. She is the mystery woman behind Philippine politics throughout the ages, moving things as she sees fit, protecting the Maharlika, ensuring that one day all Filipino supernaturals will live in harmony in a world unshrouded by the Veil.
Brianna's original purpose for assembling the War Hounds was to make sure that Zangyaku always had assistance from beyond the walls of their power bases. By extension, this meant that the Hounds were supposed to serve as an example of how Keepers of the Vigil were comrades first before they were men and women loyal to a particular King or cause. Another function of this was to place Hounds in other conspiracies as Brianna's eyes and ears to suit her goals and to further protect Zangyaku, Suffice to say, these ideas shifted as Brianna grew more exposed to the larger things at work within the Vigil.

The Philippines is one of the only countries where the supreme authority of the Lost rests in one person, not in Kings and Queens of the Courts.
Brianna, by merit of the man whom she plans on marrying, is Alden Santibanez's aunt and boss. While this man certainly isn't her first husband nor the first person she's ever fallen in love with, he MAY end up being the first person to bear her children. Sister Spider has only recently managed to restore her fertility.
She has not talked much about this herself, but word on the street is that Brianna is thinking of organizing the War Hounds under Netsach's banner. However, this may mean that she'll end up disbanding the current batch of War Hounds in order to let them focus on their respective compacts/conspiracies or Malice Kings.

The youngest War Hound of this generation, and the woman who stands at the center of the “corporation” that is the Russian mafia. Prior to her Bargain, she was one of the last remaining descendants of Alexei, the Voice on the Mountain and the first of the People to join the Yakitsukaze. Her brother’s brutal murder at the hands of Methuselah agents and Father Karlo Zobel de Ayala’s intervention have made her fiercely loyal to the Blade King’s cause.
It took some time for Yulia to accept the fact that she was, indeed, worthy of becoming a War Hound. Brianna and Karlo were, in many ways, gods in her midst: the rest were equally distant to her, and came from positions within the Vigil that Yulia could not bring herself to trust at the time. At present, however, she is incredibly comfortable in her own skin because she understands that her greatest gift to the Hounds of tonight’s Vigil is the perspective that comes with mortality.

Raised by Lincoln Hawke, Aaron Brennan and Angela Brennan, Brigade has always felt like humanity was an attainable goal while being aware of the unique stipulations of his nature. A pivotal moment in Brigade’s existence was the gifting of a Heart of Stone to HECATON from the Blade King, a Relic that effectively allowed Brigade to immerse himself in the human communities that he needed in order to create his own Philosopher’s Stone. He’s only recently returned to active duty: his superiors had him prioritize his Pilgrimage following the end of World War II.

From bloodstained orphan to ruthless young oni-tsukai of the Philippines, from the well-concealed head of the Morticians on the archipelago to Good Man of the Philippine Accords, from broken man to happy husband. Taning Marisigan has undergone several transformations in his life, and each experience has only left him more certain of the path he must take. Tohru Fukuzawa, the Assassin of the Searing Wind, saved Taning and his sister Ella from becoming Numbers of the Lucifuge. While Tohru had every intention of being their mentor, he left the actual parenting to Mang Balisong because he did not believe that he was capable of raising children well. Taning’s simple faith in his savior, however, went ways towards helping the Assassin come to terms with some of his issues in that direction.

The powers Taning and Ela potentially possess as Numbers of the Lucifuge (now Thrones) are two sides of the same coin. Their abilities involve the direct manipulation of the Abyss, and Paradox-related Arcane Mysteries.
Kisapmata was one of the first things Taning was assigned to maintain the moment he shifted from being a Senshi to a Mortician. He loves this place to death, especially since it represents the first thing that he and his wife Sabina decided to build together.
After 9/11, Taning was perfectly prepared to return to active duty. He and Hikaru had a bit of a fight about that. ("Please remember that you're a father now, Brother.") Hikaru's wishes prevailed until the Ides. Taning refuses to continue "sitting on his ass" as he puts it. Not while so much is happening.
