waking the dead 2.0 | 1st of samhain, deardaoin (thursday)
WHO: The War Hounds, Hikaru, Alistair, and Jason
WHAT: Base Camp Site 001, Arcadia
WHERE: An area off the roads of Akitagawa, somewhere between the Trods, the Hedge, and Arcadia itself
WHEN: November 1, Arcadian Year ???
SAFE FOR WORK? For now? Yes.
OTHER NOTES: Make your own threads as needed!
[ Tandang Sora, with Brianna and Alistair's help, clears out an area right beside a river - at least, it LOOKS like a river, even if it shines far too brightly in the light of the sun (or moon, depending on whichever one is shining upon the lot of you at any passing minute), and its ripples occasionally form watery mouths that quietly fill the air with song. Said song matches the whisper in the trees scattered about the area, and the laughing exchanges between Sister Sun and Brother Moon in the sky.
The Tower of the Lunargent Thorn, as promised, is always a fixed point somewhere on the horizon no matter where you turn - yet another weird thing to take note of in an increasingly bizarre place. The only "normal" thing in this area, beyond the lot of you, is the way the camp site has set up.
Tandang Sora has gone off to confirm the route that you will be taking. That means, thankfully, that the lot of you have some time to cool off your heels and attempt to acclimatize to how you have all changed. ]

[ Hee. ]
You can't fault me for trying to corrupt you.
no subject
[ Hmmm. Yeah, this smile. Right before he's snagging your hand again and cradling it between both of his. ]
no subject
[ He can be a pretty terrible person.
Terrible in all the good ways, of course. ]
no subject
Be careful. [ A beat. ] I might hold you to that.
no subject
[ And then some.
Y e p. Flirting in some tent in Arcadia, like it's nobody's business. ]
no subject
I love you. I know I keep on saying that, but... [ there's a momentary look of wonder on his face as he moves his thumb over the ring in your hand. The thing is, he can't tell you enough of how much he loves you. ]
no subject
[ No teasing edge now, nor razor sharp wit. The lack of all of that is matching the way he looks back at you like he understands, because you're making him feel the same way.
...Hell, here's a reminder. Have another kiss, love. ]
no subject
I'm really glad you said yes. [ He whispers that in the space between you both once he breaks off to come up for air. ]
no subject
You're warm, you're alive, you're his. ]
I don't think a "no" was ever on the horizon, even if I didn't really consider this a possibility before.
[ But, well. You changed that, didn't you? ]
no subject
I just knew I couldn't see myself with anyone else.
no subject
[ And what a ride the two of you have had so far. Things could have gone down so differently at every turn, and yet here the two of you were. ]
no subject
[ He's not as good with words as you are, not really. ]
Hard to not fall for a guy who cares so much about the people who matter to him.
[ It's the honest, earnest truth. ]
no subject
Even if he's crazy.
[ Have all the dry humor. All of it. ]
no subject
I prefer "eccentric". [ A beat, a smile. ] But that's just me.
Besides, he keeps me on my toes.
no subject
[ Aaand nestling in even more against you. A beat, then he's making a thoughtful noise. ]
"Eccentric". [ Heh. ] Always and ever my apologist, LaRue.
no subject
I don't... really like the term "crazy". [ He says that softly, hand coming up to trace his thumb over the apple of your cheek. ] I'm allowed to stand up in defense of my fiancee, right?
no subject
[ That response is coming out muffled, because he's burying his face into your chest, breathing your scent in. This is... really relaxing.
Who would have thought, right? ]
no subject
He's welcome to. [ Okay, he's going to give in to nuzzling the top of your head. It's silly, but it's really, really nice. ] He's always welcome to.
