WHERE: Somewhere in the ocean, off the coasts of South America
WHEN: September 19, 2063 (7:00 PM to about 10:00 PM)
SAFE FOR WORK? Other than Drake's potty mouth? Probably.
OTHER NOTES: None!


[This submarine is typical Vice Military Solutions fare - that is, it's definitely more impressive than anything that the World of Light has to offer, but it's pretty average for any Keeper of the Vigil whose used to what Vice Enterprises has to offer with regard to transport.

You're all getting your own rooms to rest up in, and you have free reign of the ship right down to the bridge. You may want to lounge around in the large common area for crew and guests alike: it's got an impressive bar, and the cafeteria kitchen has been opened for your convenience.]

[ Three hours of downtime wasn't all that bad, really, except Yulia can't keep still for some reason. She doesn't last five minutes in her own room; after pacing around, she moves out and explores the submarine. Nothing much interested her, though. She does grab an apple and a bottle of water from the kitchen before walking around again.

Feel free to bother her. ]

She finds him at the lounge. She'd checked there earlier, but he wasn't there, so she tried looking elsewhere. They must have just missed each other earlier. But he's there now, so...

So she really shouldn't be just staying by the doorway, pouting. ]

[ Brig has two flasks full of rum as he's walking around the halls of the sub.

He's just checking everything out, as he always does with new things, particularly anything of military make. He's been in subs before, but back in the day when he was a backseat driver in a Russian brainwashed body. Bad memories which he's learned to suppress by living forward.

Nothing the Russian's ever stuffed in him were as pretty as this thing, as expected. He's enjoying himself studying and learning the make and ins-and-outs of the ship, meandering from prow to stern. Nothing but the best by Vice. As usual.

Feel free to bother him wherever you catch him. ]

[Honestly, this one has been observing your inability to keep to one place for a while now. It's... rather uncharacteristic.

You spot him when you make what is now your third circuit through the missile room/jogging path. Funny, you were pretty sure he wasn't there when you first walked in...

He joins your walk just as you pass him, but remains quiet for the first few meters, looking pensive. When he does speak up, he goes straight to the point. His tone is... you know he's not asking out of mere gossipy curiosity, for sure.]

[This one is sitting at the bow, near where the torpedo techs work. He was content to chat them up for a few minutes about the capabilities of their ordnance (which is significant) before he looks for an empty stool and sits down. From here, he can see the whole of the sub.

This is how he'll be unless he's moved by some interesting sight. Feel free to bug him if you somehow head his way.]

[So this is how Drake bothers you: by stepping right out of your shadow, draping an arm over your shoulders, gripping tight, and grinning.]

[Sorry, love, your beloved senpai this one had been doing the rounds with the people, making sure everything was in order for the party and being fussed over by the boyfriend before settling back down in the lounge for some work. Which he continues to do for about three minutes before chuckling, and saying to you, without even looking up from his laptop screen:]

[This will probably catch your attention after the group disperses: your boy already doing the rounds and being a Malice King around the submarine without even thinking to change his clothes, or dry off.

Yep. Either he forgot all about it, or once again, he doesn't give a shit about his own personal welfare in light of Taking Care of Things.]

[ Brig is unsurprised and fine with this. He smiles as he pulls out the fresh flask inside his coat and hands it to the Inquisitor ]

[ He's ducking away briefly to ask one of the ops that isn't manning the sub where he can grab a towel. He doesn't explain why beyond a nod in Hikaru's direction.

When it's finally handed his way, he folds it up, comes over and catches the Blade King by the elbow. ] Borrow you for a bit?

[ She didn't mind the company, when he walks with her. It was better than pacing the whole length of the submarine alone.

Except he had to open his big, goddamn mouth.

She stops in midstep and looks at Taning with an indiscernible gaze. Somewhere halfway between shock, anger, confusion, and embarrassment, but with a general what the flying fuck?! and how could you?! feel.

And that's all you're getting. ]

[ ...Okay, so standing there for three? four? five?? minutes was embarrassing. (Really embarrassing. I do not remember raising you like this.) She huffs-- and subsequently takes a breath and steps into the lounge. ]

It's partially Taning's fault, and mostly her own musings. But she can get to that later. There is more than just that they could talk about, after all. ]

[ And that's a shake of the head accompanied by a chuckle as he steps off with you towards one of the side rooms that is currently unoccupied.

When you two are finally alone ( because it only occured to him the moment that he had your attention that this was going to look a wee bit embarrassing ) he is dropping that towel over your shoulders and proceeds to dry out your hair. ]

I know you are practically a force of nature but you can still get sick.

[ You might note that his tone is very, very dry. ]

[ This one's settling down in the mess hall after wandering around for the first hour or so. He needs his coffee, he's also drafting up a report relating to the closure of the gate since that is kind of relevant to Order of the Grateful Dead business.

You'll find him with a hot mug on the table and him swiping away at that phone of his with the practiced motions of someone who utilizes it for all his needs when his laptop and tablet are nowhere around. ]

[ She shakes her head, and takes a stick from the pack. She's lighting up before saying anything. ]

Nothing much. Just... thinking.

[ She takes a drag. ] I forgot you were also a Rivers hunter. [ There is a point to this. And then she will get to the real reason why she wanted to talk. Just... this one first. This is a little easier. ]

[Now that he's been fussed over, done the rounds and had a good talk with Yulia, he's more or less permanently settled in the lounge with a lot of work to pour through.

[ Being submerged in water doesn't get a body sick. It's the refusing to dry off that sometimes does. ]
