1. First Day At Falner
You have just arrived at Falner Estate, a sprawling, beautiful, 400-hectare co-located space between Britain, Germany, and the Philippines, and the main base of Netsach. The flora and fauna in the area gives both a sense of familiarity as it looks at first glance like things you’ll find on Earth, and a weird sense of otherworldliness. Given the size of the place, the Estate is less of a compound and more like a town unto itself. The older buildings within the estate are gothic in their construction, and clear throwbacks to 19th Century Europe. The newer facilities, however, sport cutting edge contemporary designs that were clearly inspired by Fourth World architecture and technology.

2. A Day On The Job
You are pushing papers at Methuselah, doing research at the Arcanum, or going out on patrol -- whatever it is that you're doing, it's just another day for you as a Hunter of the Vigil.


3. Let's Head Down to Haven
Find yourself itching for a night out on the town? Why not head over to Haven, the classy nightclub that looks like a large, monolithic black building with no visible windows from the outside and the name of the club emblazoned in bold, white letters on one side.

Haven is located in Makati City, and is open to the public (especially the local supernatural community), but you might want to prepare yourself to wait in line for a very, very long time – unless you’re a Hunter, of course.

Falner’s Maenad Division holds office on top of Haven, as does Ordo Daywalker. Some of Haven’s staff also live above the night club.

[He could see that the other boy wasn't going to move anytime soon.

.... Okay, he definitely ought to do something before this got any more awkward (for him).

Scuttling back a bit to get some distance, he shuffles a bit as he concentrates. Before long, he felt his body start to grow and shift, the change coming a little easier this time.

It still felt odd, though. Shifting from spider to man, and doing the same in reverse. But in a few seconds, a dark-haired boy wearing blue polo, jeans, and a pair of sandals stood in place of the tarantula, and he glanced at the redhead with a nervous yet friendly smile.]

Uh... Hi?

[Don't mind him as he let's out a small 'yelp' of surprise, falling back on his rear. He knew that this place was special, was full of people who were able to do things he'd only dreamed of in the passed but...

But the last thing he expected was a spider turning into a young man.

All he can do for a few long seconds was just stare. Then he raises one hand, a small wave.]

'ello... Uh, nice trick?

[A small chuckle was his response as he rubbed the back of his head with a grin.]

Thanks? I think. Sorry, I still haven't learned yet how to talk to people when I'm not... well, me.

[He gestures to himself, then.]

Though, I guess that might have freaked you out, too? Having a spider talk to you in your head?

Safe to say both options are a bit unnerving. Last thing I'd expect is a spider turning into a human.

[He smiles, just a bit. It's more nervous then anything.]

It's okay though, really.

[Taking a deep breath, then letting it out, before throwing an inquisitive look at the boy, feeling a little more relieved now.]


You new here? I just got here, myself, so I guess that puts us in the same boat.

[Hearing that someone else is new is a huge relief.

He holds out his hand next, the nervousness fading just a little.]

I'm Jake Rivers.

[He's going to shake your hand as he introduces himself.]

Lenny Tyler. Nice to meet you, Jake. [One eyebrow is raised slightly, then.] So, your last name is Rivers? As in the hunters?

[It could be a coincidence, of course. But it would explain why his new friend was here.]

[After a handshake he let's go of Lenny's hand, shoving both his into the pockets of his hoodie.]

Not that I know much about them. What about you? There a spider family no one's told me about yet?

[Glancing for a moment to the side, his mind briefly flashed back to the night he first changed.]

Honestly, things are still pretty fuzzy on that end. No pun intended.

[Yeah, because tarantula.]

It's one thing to grow up with parents who had a career in studying Changing Breeds. But turning out to be one after I go through my Storm? That's a whole different story.
