1. First Day At Falner
You have just arrived at Falner Estate, a sprawling, beautiful, 400-hectare co-located space between Britain, Germany, and the Philippines, and the main base of Netsach. The flora and fauna in the area gives both a sense of familiarity as it looks at first glance like things you’ll find on Earth, and a weird sense of otherworldliness. Given the size of the place, the Estate is less of a compound and more like a town unto itself. The older buildings within the estate are gothic in their construction, and clear throwbacks to 19th Century Europe. The newer facilities, however, sport cutting edge contemporary designs that were clearly inspired by Fourth World architecture and technology.

2. A Day On The Job
You are pushing papers at Methuselah, doing research at the Arcanum, or going out on patrol -- whatever it is that you're doing, it's just another day for you as a Hunter of the Vigil.


3. Let's Head Down to Haven
Find yourself itching for a night out on the town? Why not head over to Haven, the classy nightclub that looks like a large, monolithic black building with no visible windows from the outside and the name of the club emblazoned in bold, white letters on one side.

Haven is located in Makati City, and is open to the public (especially the local supernatural community), but you might want to prepare yourself to wait in line for a very, very long time – unless you’re a Hunter, of course.

Falner’s Maenad Division holds office on top of Haven, as does Ordo Daywalker. Some of Haven’s staff also live above the night club.


4. The Awakening

Well, I kind of stole from a guy? And the guy chased me halfway through downtown. But I ran into one of those fancy hunter people, all pretty in his bright red coat. Talk about ever feeling glad to see an authority figure.

[ Another drag, and Mina puffs the smoke out in rings. ]

So I of course tried to pickpocket him real quick before putting him between me and the angry mob dude, but turns out fancy red coat has really good reflexes.

One thing led to another... I'm kind of surprised I didn't end in jail with the other guy.

Pshh, of course I cut above the usual pickpocket. Although I gather he was talking about that whole Riskbreaker thing. I hadn't stop to consider that could be why I'm this awesome before, but it sort of makes sense, right?

[ She then focuses on her cigarette for a moment before she seems to remember something. ]

And then there was that demon thing, but I'm not sure if he was talking about to me. Probably not.

[ And everything sounded quite conventional (delinquent with potential picked up off the streets, has notable supernatural abilities, brought in my someone who was likely licensed with Netsach beyond whatever other compact or conspiracy of interest) until you mentioned demons.

[ For all the heightened senses and stuff, Mina hasn't noticed a thing. There's probably not much to notice anyway. ]

I mean he was giving me this intense stare, so I thought dude was totally checking me out, but apparently that wasn't the case.

But I don't know what he was going on about there. I mean, I've been called a lot of things, but never a demon. That's harsh.

Given that he is a Hunter like myself, my dear, it is likely that he did not mean it as an insult.

As I said, you and I are not demons per se. I think the correct way of looking at it is that we are human beings with a demonic heritage with some Infernal powers at our disposal. [ A beat. ] If you are, indeed, a Demonborn Riskbreaker, you should be capable of one day doing what I can.

[ Which he'll go into later, of course, since you did ask. ]
