1. First Day At Falner
You have just arrived at Falner Estate, a sprawling, beautiful, 400-hectare co-located space between Britain, Germany, and the Philippines, and the main base of Netsach. The flora and fauna in the area gives both a sense of familiarity as it looks at first glance like things you’ll find on Earth, and a weird sense of otherworldliness. Given the size of the place, the Estate is less of a compound and more like a town unto itself. The older buildings within the estate are gothic in their construction, and clear throwbacks to 19th Century Europe. The newer facilities, however, sport cutting edge contemporary designs that were clearly inspired by Fourth World architecture and technology.

2. A Day On The Job
You are pushing papers at Methuselah, doing research at the Arcanum, or going out on patrol -- whatever it is that you're doing, it's just another day for you as a Hunter of the Vigil.

3. Let's Head Down to Haven
Find yourself itching for a night out on the town? Why not head over to Haven, the classy nightclub that looks like a large, monolithic black building with no visible windows from the outside and the name of the club emblazoned in bold, white letters on one side.

Haven is located in Makati City, and is open to the public (especially the local supernatural community), but you might want to prepare yourself to wait in line for a very, very long time – unless you’re a Hunter, of course.

Falner’s Maenad Division holds office on top of Haven, as does Ordo Daywalker. Some of Haven’s staff also live above the night club.

4. The Awakening
Want to tag out your character's origin story? Set the stage and let's see where things go.

5. Choose Your Own Adventure
If none of the suggested premises hit the mark, feel free to set things up and let's do a tag round.

[ Because he sure as hell isn't. It's a very different power base from Tangaroa, and from Seigi. ]

[ Meep. ]

[ A beat. ] I like to walk. It lets me look at places better.

[ No need to let him now that she is still getting used to the other means of transportation available. ]

[ Chuckling. ]

That's the same reason why I like walking too.

[ Not that he doesn't enjoy riding... he's a Ranger for a reason. ]

[ Have a shy smile then before she's reaching out to pet Mitsuru's fur.

She goes on with that for a while before she's noticing the mask.

Tilting her head now, brows furrowing because she's trying to figure out what... it is. ]

[ Heh. He gets that a lot. ]

It's supposed to be a taniwha. You can pick it up, if you like.

[ Blinking up at you. ]

What is a... tah-ni-fah...?

[ Did she pronounce that right? UM.

She curls her hands away though. She wasn't thinking about picking it up. She was just curious. ]

Yeah, that's about right. [ And he's going to pick it up to hold it out to you. ] A taniwha is a sea creature from Maori myth.

[ Let's start with that. Not a lot of people know about this sort of thing, so. ]

[ She'll accept it tentatively and turn it around so that she can look at it better. She's handling it with care. ]

[ Bringing out his phone now, and turning the three-dimensional display on. ]

[ Smiling just once before going back to the map and zoning in on his country. ]

[ And what you'll get is the look of utter awe on this one's face.

She's also glancing to the phone that's hanging by a lanyard around her neck, brows furrowing as she wonders briefly if her phone can do the same.

--Back to you though, and coming closer so that she can take a better look. ]

[ Aaaand pointing it out. ]

There. It's right beside this place -- [ Pointing. ] -- called Australia. I'm half-Maori, and that is where we Maori come from.

[ Nodding now as she glances back to you and sends a smile your way. It comes out tentative, but she's getting good at smiling these days.

A frown though. ] So you are visiting Falner?

[ Because you're new. And your 'home' is in a place that is far from here. ]

Oh, no. [ Shaking his head. ] This is home for me now. I just got transferred here.

[ And it looks like he was going to be around for a while, since the big pressing assignment they had for him was finding a new blade.

Not easy, that. ]

[ A-ah...! c: ]

I welcome you to Falner then, Luke.

[ Because Gisi is in Falner and so on and so forth etcetcetc.

Looking back at that mask in her hand now and smiling quietly before she gives it back. ]

It is a beautiful mask. [ Perhaps one day she will have one of her own. ]

It is, isn't it? Someone very dear to me made it a long time ago.

[ Keep on smiling, Lucas Pierce.

He's gone, and he isn't going to come back, and that is that.

(At least you're getting so much better at looking and sounding like you're fine, you're even starting to fool yourself.) ]

[ She smiles back at him and starts looking a little shy.

One day, she hopes to be part of Zangyaku. Maybe someday, someone will make her a mask as beautiful as yours, too. ]

[ And even though he's oblivious to what you're thinking: ]

I guess I'll see you with one of your own someday, huh?

[ It's logical, isn't it? You're the Blade King's charge. ]

[ ...!!!

A slow nod. ]

I hope to learn and work hard to be part of Zangyaku.

[ Because she has a long way to go, but she is at Balamb now and she has decided for herself that she will do well. ]

Sounds like a plan. Are you training with us already?

[ It would make sense if you were. ]

[ Have a quiet shake of the head and her reaching out to stroke Mitsuru's fur all over again. ]

I am attending Balamb first.

[ That's coming out quiet and almost shy. ]

I do not have the skills for Zangyaku yet.

[ She has fought and she has killed, but it is different from the discipline of the junior oni-tsukai. ]

I'm pretty sure you will once you're done at Balamb. It's a good school.

[ Or so he has heard. Furthermore, well... you look like the kid that could go places.

At least he wants you to. It's the thought that counts, right? ]

[ And this is why she will never understand why people find Zangyaku operatives frightening. Everyone she has met so far has been so kind. ]

[ Looking down to her hands now with a smile. ]

[ Man, you are really, really cute. His dads would be all over you in two shakes.

He's holding Mitsuru out to you now. ]
