Mankind’s obsession with the marvels of the past has always been best characterized by treasure hunters, and the tales of adventure and wonder that were usually blown up narratives of their discoveries. Only one organization in the world, however, knows the truth behind many of the historical mysteries of the Fifth World, along with how they were connected to the World of Darkness. This organization is Aegis Kai Doru, the so-called “Guardians of the Labyrinth”.
This is the story that most everyone who becomes a Guardian is told: Aegis is antediluvian, existing before the famous Great Flood from many stories, and were in ancient times powerful warriors and magicians who were charged with protecting the greatest treasures in the world. That simultaneously hits what their conspiracy is about right on the nail, and also misses the mark completely. Aegis DID exist before most of civilization as we know it did. The true purpose of the Guardians, however, was to seek out, locate, and protect the Lost Legacies, pieces of technology and culture that survived the destruction of the Fourth World. The man responsible for starting Aegis isn’t even a man, and he’s still alive – as “alive” as a sentient artificial construct could possibly be, at any rate.
Aegis Kai Doru’s insignia is a large, round shield with a spear and scroll crossed at the back. Aegis operatives make it a point to wear something that alludes to the symbol’s original design, or have an object on their person that has the same effect. Their finest operatives wear the conspiracy’s amulet.

MAGE [ACANTHUS; WALKER IN THE MISTS]; KEEPER OF THE LABYRINTH IN CHICAGO The poster child for Aegis Kai Doru being “all in the family”, Claire is – as her parents before her were – one of the greatest assets of the conspiracy, by merit of her age (she’s over 200 years old), prowess, and experience. She’s almost singlehandedly responsible for keeping Aegis Kai Doru afloat in the United States of America in spite of all of the upheavals and the in-fighting among Keepers. Suffice to say, this DOES make her a target for anyone seeking to destabilize Aegis operations…

At present, however, she - like many of her peers - has been ordered to stay on the grounds of the Falner Estate while Orin re-consolidates the cospiracy's resources and manpower..

Vriska is Andrea Vazquez's sex partner in their "no strings attached" arrangement - but it DOES seem like Andie is looking for something a little more meaningful now. "Meaningful", unfortunately, isn't something that Vriska does.
Diamond Dog joined the Labyrinth in Coron, making him Vriska's subordinate - thus deepening her ties to Team Death Wish further.
In order to alleviate her great boredom, Vriska has been assisting her colleagues with clearing out the Catacombs under Paris for Aegis Kai Doru's use.

Rumor has it that Orin was the one who picked Kaizen up from the smoldering ruins of his home, informed of the boy’s location through a rare visitation from the Fatespinner herself. The golem pried the crying babe from his mother’s cold hands, and raised him within the ranks of his conspiracy. If this is true, it might explain Kaizen’s unquestionable loyalty towards him…

Djinns are incredibly rare, with Amadeus being the first on record and Kaizen being one of the few to turn up on the Vigil's radar in centuries. No one is quite certain what the full range of their abilities are.
Although there aren't any adoption papers to show for it, Kaizen is Savois Montessi's little brother. The both of them are viewed as Orin's children.
Lenny Ramirez had the dubious honor of dealing with Kaizen once upon a time...
Vriska claims that Kaizen is one of the "lucky ones" because he gets to go out and "do things" for Aegis at present. The majority of Aegis Kai Doru's operatives are under strict orders to remain at Falner. Orin, however, has been sending Kaizen out on solo engagements for the United Vigil.

VAMPIRE [DAEVA; TOREADOR]; SENIOR SCROLL OF THE LABYRINTH IN BERLIN / OPERATIVE OF THRASOS A con artist, skilled forger of artistic works and thief during his mortal life, Stefan was Embraced by a renegade Toreador that took a fancy to him and started stalking to him – his becoming a vampire was a result of him attempting to reject his master’s advances. Vriska found him during one of her engagements in Europe and offered him a job. Loyal as he might be to Vriska, Kaizen, Savois, and Orin, outside of those three Stefan is generally more interested in Relics than he is in living/unliving beings.

Na’ilah has been an invaluable asset to Aegis, especially since she has been instrumental in helping the conspiracy retain its hold on Indo-China in spite of gross amounts of resistance from the Ascending Ones and from the Methuselah. Na’ilah is also responsible for maintaining cordial ties with Zangyaku through her friendship with Lady Utsusemi of the Searing Wind. She and Utsusemi are said to have escaped from Arcadia together.

Although Saki has over a century of Arcadian years in experience, she was put through regular schooling as soon as the conspiracy’s medics cleared her, and has only recently finished her training as an Aegis Kai Doru operative. Na’ilah was sent her over to Coron in light of the Labyrinth’s dire need of Hunters.
