The death of Karlo Zobel de Ayala – their mentor, and the uncle of one of their members – nearly tore their group in half. Diamond Dog, however, helped set them straight. Some of them have left the Methuselah behind, but that doesn’t mean that they’ve forgotten the fact that they’re all friends with the same goal: canceling the Apocalypse.
The reason why the Pack is called the Pack is because of Matteo, the Uratha in their blade. The perfect werewolf pack is supposed to have five members, each representing one of the Auspices. In spite of everything, Matteo never really stopped viewing his blade mates as his packmates; that feeling went both ways. Don't tell him this, though, but the only reason why their members know an inordinate amount about gardening is because it's his hobby and they wanted to support him as best as they could with it.

Once one of the loudest supporters of the Wiseman’s Committee within his generation, recent events have made Paolo renounce his belief that the Wiseman’s Committee of the Methuselah know what’s best for the conspiracy. Paolo hails from a long line of Philippine Hunters from Laguna that only recently chose to join another conspiracy instead of aiding the Maharlika. He’s a crack shot on the field and a really nice guy when he’s off of it.
Paolo found himself standing at a crossroads when he discovered what Wolf's Choice - and by extension, the Rockin' Rollas - was trying to do. He had taken the members of Wolf's Choice under his wing as comrades and surrogate younger siblings, and it was difficult for him to believe that the conspiracy he believed in was involved in terrible things. The heiress to the fortune of the Zobel de Ayalas just as much as she is the successor to their long, proud tradition of Keeping the Vigil within the Philippines. The mysterious circumstances behind her uncle Karlo’s death coupled with her own dissatisfaction over belated Kaiser Palomo’s performance resulted in a rather public shifting of allegiances for Neeka, something that once threatened the unity of her own blade. Because of this, Diamond Dog ended up bringing Neeka into his confidence, allowing her to be the first one to participate in the so-called “real work” of the Vigil with Team Death Wish. Recent events pushed her to leave the Methuselah in favor of lending her and her family’s strength to the Maharlika.
The Ayalas were among the first Hunter families that the Methuselah assigned to secure the Philippines. As the generations passed, they developed intimate ties with the Maharlika, even as they continued the tradition of sending one of their own to join the Vigil under the Dragon's banner. Neeka appears to be taking that legacy in a very different direction now.

Jen’s psychological issues are intimately tied in with the use of her gifts, something that she is still working towards breaking even after several years of Keeping the Vigil. The mildest but most significant way that this manifests is the fact that she has the tendency to actually disappear from sight when she feels like she doesn’t want to be seen or heard. The more difficult she is to perceive, the greater her need to not be in the situation.
Jen has decided, after these past two crazy months, to stay in the Methuselah with Paolo. The two of them are now partners on the field in light of the rest of their blade mates leaving for other factions. One of her current tasks is to spy on the more troublesome elements present within Anino for Charo. Her abilities and training make Jen the perfect woman for the job.

Quiet and intense, Gideon is that rare individual who was born “awake”. He possesses the Song of Measuring, one of the only Grand Songs in existence that cannot be learned: it “chooses” Minstrels to reveal itself to, giving them the ability to hear the “true songs” of the creatures around them. That said, it should not come as a surprise that Gideon has had a target on his back ever since he joined the Vigil. The Pack sought to protect him from this, but the conflict that resulted between them due to Karlo Zobel de Ayala’s murder almost prevented them from keeping this promise.
Gideon left the Methuselah the moment he heard that the Daywalker had been removed from Falner and offered his services to Ordo Daywalker. The Minstrel had always admired Riley and his vision, and he did not feel that he had to meet the man himself in order to know that the Daywalker had everyone’s best interests at heart. He is one of the first full-fledged Hunters of Netsach.

The first thing Gideon did the moment he came to Riley was tell the Daywalker about his Grand Song. Riley has acknowledged its potential to aid the conspiracy, but has only recently given Gideon a role. He's now the official Voice of the Daywalker - that is, Riley's spokesperson on all Netsach-related matters.
The younger brother of Basilio Tupaz, Speaker for the Blood Talons – his decision to leave Sagada and become a Hunter won him perhaps the eternal disapproval of his family. Matteo seems to care for nothing but the Vigil and his bonsai. The truth of the matter is, he can count the number of people he gives a shit about on one hand, and they precisely number the other members of the Pack (Diamond Dog included) for the moment.
In light of the rest of his blade mates making their own calls on where to go, Matteo has left the Methuselah in favor of joining Zangyaku. He has, after all, always felt loyal to the Blade King’s cause above everything else.

Rumor has it that Matteo is actually the stronger one between him and his older brother - or, at least, he has the potential to be, and said potential is obvious to any Uratha with eyes. If this is true, that might be a huge part of why Basilio is so pissed at Matteo to begin with.
Matteo and Kaye ended up becoming full-fledged oni-tsukai on the same night at Falner. Their initiation rites will likely be Hikaru Shinta's last for a while to come.
