Celeste was traveling from the capital to a convent in the provinces when her carriage was set upon by bandits. A mysterious stranger saved her life, and brought her into his home. She quickly took a shine to her patron, fascinated, as she was, by the fact that he appeared to be cursed by the very estate that he owned in spite of his benevolence. This man was a vampire, and he ended up passing down the blessings (and curse) of his bloodline to Celeste when he finally Embraced her. Celeste has since become a Keeper of the Vigil, and applies herself to her Christian beliefs and to her mission as a Hunter with the same fervor that she had possessed with regard to her holy vows and to the marriage that she never actually had.
Celeste was originally trained as a solo Hunter who would not ever need a blade to Keep the Vigil. Aidan initially took charge of her welfare and training, as he was intimately familiar with handling fledgling vampires whose urges too often took control of them. Gwen - Drake's girlfriend and future geist - was the one who helped Celeste reconnect with the rest of the world through the Vigil. They built the original Rockin' Rollas together.

Celeste is one of the strongest Ventrue vampires on Philippine soil, and she's respected by many for the work she has done with the Methuselah - she always stayed fair to her own and to other supernaturals regardless of who was in charge. Some were eyeing her as a potential representative of her Clan in light of Alejandro Raura's departure, but she has since declined official invitations in that direction.
