This was turning out to be some first day. She hadn't even met the Kaiser yet ( which she seriously hoped wasn't going to be a taxing process, but the word 'Kaiser' was already intimidating... ), but so far she had seen a dragon and met two amazing men and an honest-to-god Angel. Those were real?! She couldn't believe Josh had intimidated her. Especially when she saw him smile like that. He had said he'd been like her once. If she could ever end up with just a fraction of the happiness he had, she knew life would be good.

"Is there a list somewhere of all the supernatural types out there, because at this rate I'm going to think everything exists," she grinned back at Josh.

"So..." her eyes got that mischievous look in them again. "How long have you been together? If I say for always am I close?" She knows she's not, but it's fun to tease Josh. He gets such a silly grin. And Hikaru really looks perfectly at home on Josh's lap. Always isn't that bad of an estimate.
