Babs stayed behind in Taskforce Valkyrie for as long as she could, all in the hopes of using her clout to convinced more of the conspiracy to see the World of Darkness as potential allies or fellow denizens of the Fifth World instead of as enemies. Her mother, however, ordered her to retreat to Taft a little before the Ides of March.
