[ Well, Kasumi did say she expected him to have a proper ring to Nico before the day of their engagement party. The thing was that... Every shop he went to had wonderful selections, just they didn't have anything that suited Nico in Kaz's eyes.

He would've asked Aidan, but he had already asked the Dragon for help with his beloved's mask. But an engagement ring from Kaz to Nico had to speak of it. So he goes to the one other person who could probably help with him expressing that.

So that's how he's ended up outside of the Vice Tower and dialing Jessie's number shyly.
